I mean seriously, I was just looking at my hair, and its a disaster zone. Its falling out for one, the hair on top of my head is thinning, and I've got so many split ends its ridiculous! Makes me want to go get a hair cut. The ends are totally fried, but most of the body is great, except for the outermost hair. You know, the hair on top that almost always exposed, its always completely frizzed and it almost always ruins my attempts at stylage. Ugh! I don't know what to do. It sucks. Another frustrating thing is, the hair on my head is thinning, but its growing rampant everywhere else! WTF!
Bitching aside, I went to see Happy Feet today. It was absolutely Adorable! There was one frame that kinda made me mad, because I don't care how you look at it, it was innapropriate. I mean hell, I know animators and artists in general can be a vengful lot, but damn! Anyways, it wasn't overly bad or anything. Just an interesting pose. Other than that, the rest of the movie was adorable. A little on the slow side at times. Kinda weird how the emperor Penguins were tall and sang to find eachothers true love, and the other penguins, the shorter ones, all talked with a spanish accent... except for the guru. The animation was very impressive. The movie itself made interesting statments about our culture and how we can percieve change. And Robin Williams is absolutely Hilarious! His little penguin, Ramon, had me laughing so hard I couldn't contain myself, just ask the theater staff. J/K! BUt it was great. I enjoyed the movie.Very cute kids movie. But I doubt it would keep the little ones entertained for very long. Younger kids and a few of the older ones might get a little antsy.
After I got home, I took a little nap. I had called my boyfriend when I got out and told him how it went and that I liked it. I like Penguins in general, so I'm kind of biased. And later on, he stopped by and gave me a cute little plushie of Mumbles, the main character of the movie. Why they didn't have him lose his baby feathers completely in the movie, I don't know. Maybe it was so people could easily discern Mumbles from the rest of the penguins. BUt whatever, he was still cute. =^_^=
And for this installment of Random Thought of the Moment: Have you ever noticed how some variations of Egg Nog taste kinda like raw Cake Batter? Don't play dumb, you know you've licked the spoon atleast once. I picked up a little carton of Southern Comfort Egg Nog the otherday (Non Alcoholic), and Its ofcourse sweet and not overly thick, but it tastes vaguely like yellow cake batter. Interesting. Atleast I won't get food poisoning from it... hopefully 0_0;
And for a last piece of news update, I bought the new Katie MacAlister book today. It came out this month, the third Aisling Grey novel, Light My Fire. So I'm going to go read that now. Toodles!
I wonder if there are enough songs out there featuring the words "Sunday Morning" to make an official soundtrack for sundays. Right now I can only think of two. One from No Doubt, and the other from Maroon 5. I think it would be cool to have a cd just for sundays, and it was called Sunday Morning, and you had a whole bunch of random songs with "sunday" being the only common thread. Woo!
So, my god father and my mother were watching the MTV music awards this evening. My god father has an unhealthy obsession with Jennifer Lopez, and he had to see her. even though she's like... the last show or something lame like that. Anyhow, so all t hese rock groups are being presented, snippets of their videos being shown, and I couldn't help but wonder to myself...... Why is it... that guys in rock groups can't look like guys. rock alternative or what the hell ever. I mean, they either look androgynous or like straigh up drag queens (hey look, its an oxymoron!) MOst would say its a statement about some sort of political nonsense... I think its just a lame fad. It happened in the eighties, then came the nineties (the dirty years), and now is the hip hoppy, androgynous emo era.*sigh* Its just so annoying! Panic! At The Disco, I like. They have a very catchy sound. But AFI? Blah..... Green Day.... Sorry, I used to love them back in school, but Billy Joe wears way too much make up these days. *sigh* I don't know. I guess the older I get (Hah, I'm only 23), the more I want to see Men. Real Mean. Big sweaty men who work on construction sites and coal mines all day. Men who are strong. Mmmmm, muscles. =^_^= And the only place I can seem to find any music wise, is country music. I like country music now. Its a lot more bearable than some of the crap spewing out of the radio these days. Geez, I sound like an old fart. But whatever. Kiss It *bends over*
ITs a fun little event that goes on every year, from November 1st (Midnight standard time) to November 30th (MD Stndrd). The object? Write a 50,000 word novel in exactly Thirty days. I tried it last year, but totally procrastinated on it. Yeah, I know. I'm a loser. BUt I think I might try to get a liiiiiiiittle bit of a jump on it this month.... just a little bit. ;-) Here's the Link. You should join. Registration starts around October 1st. This year, they're getting all technical and upgrading the site. So there will most likely be bugs and probs a plenty. but it will still be fun. I know that whenever I take the time to write, I end up getting distracted. I figure an hour a day should do fine. Not to mention writing down Ideas whenever they pop into my head. I'm thinking about doing a story about someone. And just tying in a bunch of other stories. I know it sounds wierd. BUt its a good Idea. Atleast I think so. =^_^= Anyhow, there's tons of writers on this site, so I figure that you guys might take interest in it. Be sure to look it up!
And now for something completely different.
For some reason, I've always had a findness for somewhat strange and out there movies. A few examples, American Beauty, White Oleander, and Donnie Darko. Anyway, I was just thinking about something, and a movie came to mind. I don't know why, but it just popped into my head... oh wait, now I remember. But, anyway, the movie I thought about is called Magnolia. Its really quite strange, and indeed rather out there, and when you finish watching it, it will leave a very large question mark over your head.... but I like it. The only down fall is that it has Tom Cruise in it...And ofcourse.. his character is kind of crazy... ( a motivational speaker). I think I will get that soon... Along with another copy of both White Oleander and Amrican beauty. I used to watch them so much, I wore them out. How, I'm not sure, seeing as how they were dvd's. Just because you watch a movie almost every day back to back, that doesn't mean anything. It shouldn't just crap out on you like that! But whatever. probably had something to do with heat. BUt yeah. If you know of any movies kind of like that, let me know. I'd love to watch them. =^_^=
Random thought of the moment: It would be really cool if there was a girl band or group that was called, the Bubblegum Mafia. Annoying, but cute. =^_^=
